Robert and his family have lived in Kingsville since 2005. He was called to preach in 2014 while serving under Pastor Gary Bob Clements. The Piña’s expressed a desire and burden to minister to the people of Kingsville, to preach the gospel, and to teach sound doctrine.
Robert and his wife, Rowena, served faithfully in various ministries at Bible Believers Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas for seven years. Robert taught the Young Marrieds Sunday school class which offered instruction, help, and encouragement to their young families.
In September of 2023, Robert began the “Kingsville Bible Study.” For a little over fifteen months, they met every Tuesday at the Holiday Inn Express on Hwy 77. The Bible study group grew and became what is now know as Anchor Baptist Church, a church plant out of Bible Believers Baptist Church, Pastor Bevans Welder.
