ANCHOR NURSERY

(Newborn – 36 Months)

At Anchor Baptist Church we view our church nursery as a vital and foundational part of our ministries. It is our desire to help children gain an early love for God’s house and His people. Nursery, for Newborns-36 months of age, is provided during all church services. This allows the parents to sit in the services and know that their child is cared for and safe.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH
(3 Years Old – 10 Years Old)

Age groups from 3 years old to 10 years old are currently combined with age appropriate activities designed for each age group during Sunday morning service. The teacher begins each class by singing Christ-centered children’s songs. They then teach the class a Bible lesson that is illustrated with pictures. Children are encouraged to memorize their Bible memory verse for the day. After each lesson, there is a craft and follow-up questions about what the children learned that morning. They encourage the class to stand for the Lord and they teach them how to handle difficult situations.

OUR GOAL

The goal of Children’s Church is to bring children and adults to salvation. We strive to encourage our children to have a personal relationship with the Lord that will last over a lifetime and to equip them with the knowledge of God’s Word. We pray and teach diligently so that our young Christians cannot be shaken to lose their faith in this world.

As a church, we strive to be well organized and efficient in order to set a good example for our children. The children will be set at ease by being taught in a structured environment focused around fun Biblical education. It is our goal to help parents raise their children for the Glory of the Lord and to support parents by strengthening the Christian teachings they learn at home.

OUR METHOD OF TEACHING

To provide consistency throughout our Children’s Ministry, we use a combination of Bogard Press SPLAT lessons and Abeka Bible illustration cards. For all children up to 10 years of age, we use this material as a way to connect with children and as a way to grow in the understanding of the Gospel. Bible centered games and hands-on activities/ illustrations are also incorporated. When a child attends Children’s Church throughout the year,  he or she will go through all of the major stories in the Bible in about two years.

BIBLE CLUBS
(3 Years Old – 10 Years Old)

Bible Clubs is a time packed with singing, preaching, teaching, games and so much more. Every Wednesday at 7 pm, kids will be encouraged to love God, His Word, their parents, and the church. We desire that parents and children will unify around learning and loving God’s Word.
